Somatic Forest Frolic
Choose from Sunday, October 12th or Saturday, October 25th
Join us for a full day retreat to rediscover your body’s sense of curiosity and innate wisdom. This small group setting has been carefully crafted to provide an opportunity to slow down, commune with nature, and learn how to recalibrate the nervous system from a life of doing, to one of simply being. Retreats are facilitated by Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, Tiffany Hutchens.
- Retreat will run from 9am to 5pm and take place in the beautiful woods of Harmonie State Park in New Harmony, IN
- Open to anyone 15 years and older
- Lunch, water, and snacks will be provided
- Activities may include a short trail hike, gentle movement exploration, creative reflection, and mindful eating practices
- Sharing with the group is optional, though there is much we can learn from traveling this road in community

Mountain Biker Somatic Forest Frolic
November 7th- 9th at O'bannon Woods State Forest in Cordyon, IN
Taking place alongside the OWAR MTB Festival! Register for the festival (food, camping, jump jam, live music, and hawt vibes included!) and then join us to expand your mental prowess on the bike!
- No "full pull" here, enjoy casual rides on flowy trails with a small group of supportive riders
- Develop your approach to technical obstacles and learn exactly what it takes to overcome your fears
- Maximize your time away from the demands of real life with guidance through Somatic exercises to reconnect with your senses and innate wisdom of the body
- Bike riding will happen, but more of our focus will be on how to self regulate (chill, and respond from a place of calm confidence) on and off the bike
- Just $70 for 3 days of programming! Schedule of sessions will be posted closer to the event and will work around the main events of the festival

My name is Tiffany Hutchens but I often go by Hutch! I love mountain biking and really all outdoor adventures. I have worn many hats over the years but continue to find myself teaching, coaching, playing, and pursuing challenging endeavors. I reside in Evansville, IN where I hike, cycle, climb, kayak with my dogs, camp, pickleball, lift weights, and work as an Orthopedic Bodyworker and trainer.

The Embodied Rider (program) is the coupling of mental training techniques and Somatic Experiencing to aid rider, climbers, and really all adventurists tap in to their inner landscape and begin to understand it better. Learning techniques are extremely important but what about improving your skills in resiliency, risk assessment, and emotional capacity?

Our journey to discovery isn't limited by location or sport, but exploring the language and introspection of our inner existence hasn't been commonplace. Somatic Experiencing is it's own, internationally recognized and practiced modality to regulate the nervous system and build resiliency in life. The Embodied Rider applies those concepts
Our journey to discovery isn't limited by location or sport, but exploring the language and introspection of our inner existence hasn't been commonplace. Somatic Experiencing is it's own, internationally recognized and practiced modality to regulate the nervous system and build resiliency in life. The Embodied Rider applies those concepts to the outdoors where fear, exposure, insecurity, trauma, and physiological freeze certainly exist.
